Training courses: Sign up to Effective Customer Services for Technicians and Confidence on Camera November 2020

The TALENT project team is pleased to offer two new training courses; Effective Customer Services for Technicians and Confidence on Camera. Please note that you will need to attend both part 1 and 2 for Effective Customer Services. Both courses will be delivered in an interactive way online.

Effective Customer Services for Technicians 

This customer services online workshop to develop the technicians’ knowledge and skills to enable them to develop  and deliver consistently high quality customer service in the workplace. By having a better insight into customer services, we can improve our working relationships and how to manage these more effectively using various approaches learnt about customer services. This is an introductory course designed for those with little or no knowledge of the subject, and is also suitable for those who have some knowledge of the subject but who wish to refresh their knowledge and skills.

Session aims and objectives

  • An overview of customer services
  • Explore customer services; examples, what makes good customer services, key components and models
  • Have a better insight of customer services from the other person's perspective
  • Develop skills to improve customer service interactions
  • Improved understanding of customer services and how to apply the learning to the workplace of technical staff within MI
  • Provide an opportunity to network (virtually) and have peer support and learning

Confidence on Camera

Workshop overview:

Whether you’re being filmed for an interview or hosting a demonstration, being on camera can be intimidating at first. But with the right amount of preparation and practice, you will not only look like a natural but you will also connect with your audience more effectively.  This workshop aims to remove the fear from being on camera and shares effective solutions to make sure you feel prepared and comfortable before the camera starts to roll.

Who should participate:

This workshop is aimed at staff who are having to pre-record teaching in front of the camera, film laboratory practical’s or be filmed for interviews or ‘pieces to camera’.

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:-

  • Feel authentic and comfortable whilst being filmed
  • Develop preparation and practice techniques which work for you
  • Know how to look your best on camera
  • Practice techniques to get your nerves under control

This workshop will be delivered by Zoom.
